Project Scope

We partnered with Uncontainable to create a full gallery of launch imagery for their new Courage collection. The goal was to produce high-quality content that could live everywhere: social media, e-commerce product pages, promotional campaigns, Black Friday ads, and future events, with enough volume to not seem repetitive.

This was an all-inclusive shoot built to give the brand a strong visual foundation they could continue using long after the collection rolled out.

The Direction

When we started planning, the main thing Maria shared was that their past imagery didn’t feel warm or powerful enough. She wanted direct sunlight, a stronger presence, and posing that actually reflected what the brand stands for: women empowering women through strength, movement, and confidence.

We chose Papago Park in Phoenix specifically for the open desert landscape and harsh, honest light. The shoot was scheduled just before golden hour so we could work with strong afternoon sun that softened into a golden glow, giving us images that felt both bold but clean enough for product pages.

Creative Approach

My focus throughout the shoot was creating imagery that felt striking and emotional, while still showing the fit, texture, and quality of each piece clearly.

Key elements of the approach:

  • Outdoor, sun-driven lighting to contrast their existing studio work

  • Strength-based posing: flexing, grounded stances, confident posture

  • Real athletes in their target market (20s, sourced locally from ASU and GCU)

  • Shooting with multiple crops and use cases in mind from the start

The goal wasn’t to distract from the product, but to let it shine naturally in an environment that mirrors the brand’s audience and energy.

Production

The shoot included six models, with me shooting and directing throughout the afternoon. Maria was on set to support and ensure everything stayed aligned with the brand’s vision.

Everything was planned to be efficient, collaborative, and flexible so we could walk away with a high volume of usable content without sacrificing quality.

Usage

The final imagery was used across:

  • E-commerce product pages

  • Instagram content and collection launches

  • Black Friday promotions

  • Event flyers and brand announcements

  • Ongoing marketing and community events

Because the shoot was planned for versatility, the brand was able to reuse the imagery across platforms while keeping everything visually cohesive.

Victoria and Gavin wanted something romantic by the water with a bit of a fairytale feel. We shot near the Hoboken waterfront in New Jersey, and their energy together made it so easy to capture. I created two styles for them, one warm and dreamy, one a little more casual, so they’d have plenty of variety to choose from.

Final Takeaway

This project is a great example of how I work with progressive brands: collaborative, intentional, and focused on multi-use images. By pairing strong products with natural light and confident movement, we created visuals that feel powerful, modern, and authentic to Uncontainable’s audience.
